How Are My Programs Different?

Applied Neurology

The importance of brain function and using the nervous system to rapidly “debug” movement patterns, decrease pain, and increase performance has led me to teach and create lightning-fast improvements with people from all walks of life.

The Science of Fitness, Functional Movement, Healthspan and Longevity

Science has proven that there's nothing more powerful than movement in keeping your mind and body functioning optimally, improving healthspan, and reducing disease.  

Menopause is a disease that can be treated, and many, if not all, of the symptoms of menopause can also be addressed.  

Unfortunately, the science of addressing the complex changes in women's aging has been poorly communicated or not given sufficient priority or attention.

My approach has been comprehensive and includes leveraging the best that science offers medically and in complementary fields - exercise science, functional medicine health coaching, neurology, and more. 

You will be exposed to functional movement in your programs with me, a movement sequence based on real-world situations. You perform exercises in multiple planes of motion with numerous joints to help you accomplish things more efficiently.  

Movement is primary to healthspan and longevity.  Nothing else compares to the power of learning how to move well and its positive effects on your healthspan outcomes and longevity.  

Some of the areas you will benefit learning from include:

  • Fascial Systems Integration: The fascial system interpenetrates and surrounds all organs, muscles, bones, and nerve fibers, endowing the body with a functional structure and providing an environment that enables all body systems to operate in an integrated manner. We make sure to pay attention to all things fascia in our training.
  • Corrective Exercise: Injury prevention, rehabilitation, joint mobility, and holistically decreasing pain.
  • Brain function skill sets: Using the nervous system to quickly correct movement patterns, reduce pain, and increase performance as we transition into all different stages of life.
  • Functional Medicine Health & Positive Psychology Coaching: 
    • Learn how to understand their doctor’s plan of care
    • Get tools and accountability to implement new lifestyle changes
    • Sustain motivation and inspiration to change
    • Guidance on how to make dietary changes, food plans.
    • Access to group coaching sessions on specific topics
    • Health advocacy and direct communication with your practitioner 

Expert Health Coaching & Experienced Advocacy

With 20+ years of supporting women in health advocacy, functional training, coaching, and mindfulness, we will work to design and develop personalized, evidence-based solutions to reduce your symptoms and improve your well-being.

Working together, you will feel and experience the benefits of focused work addressing the challenges of aging past 40 using holistic lifestyle interventions.

  • My sub-specialties include migraine and head pain, injury prevention, rehabilitation, joint mobility, and holistically decreasing pain in the body. 
  • Benefit from a  multi-modal approach that fuses functional training, applied neurology, fascia work, Yoga, Pilates, and more.  
  • Feel the difference it makes when working with a professional like me who has helped thousands of clients - and continually improved my direct experience, mentorship, and professional education every year.

My most recent research and work has been with Functional Medicine Health Coaching Academy including world renown MDs in functional and integrative medicine.  I will become a board certified functional medicine coach on completing my year of study.

I've also studies with  neurologist Dr. Amelia Barrett, a migraine expert with years of helping women find solutions to complex migraine problems. I have also studied with others like fascial and anatomy experts like Tom Myers, functional medicine MDs, and integrative medicine MDs and others.
